5 plants that help
clean your air
If you love plants in your house, why not pick
the ones that help detoxify your living space?
Did you know Nasa discovered in 1989 that certain plants can remove toxins like formaldehyde, benzene, and xylene from the air... That's good to know since nowadays indoor air can be up to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air, filled with chemicals from furniture, cleaning products, and everyday life.
Luckily nature has the perfect solution! These 4 plants will help clean your air while adding natural beauty to your space.
QUICK SUCCESS TIPS
-
Start small: Pick 2-3 plants for your most-used rooms
-
Match light: Check your room's lighting before choosing

![No need to buy cough syrup or immune boosters this winter when you can make all-natural elderberry syrup yourself now!
Elderberry season is in full swing. The berries are turning black and thatās your cue to start foraging. Itās always important to look for the black elderberries because the red ones and the green ones are mildly toxic. And we donāt want that (although toxicity diminishes when boiled).
HOW TO MAKE YOUR SYRUP
- [ ] Wash your berries (I always add baking soda to the mix) and remove all the green and red berries until the black ones remain.
- [ ] Measure your berries in cups and add double the amount of filtered water. (2 cups berries = 4 cups water)
- [ ] Add fresh ginger, cinnamon, and cloves for extra medicinal properties.
- [ ] Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes.
- [ ] Turn off the heat and let your syrup cool for 45 min. to infuse the flavors and create a stronger syrup.
- [ ] Strain the berries and measure the remaining syrup. Add 50% raw organic honey, agave syrup, or cane sugar. Stir the lukewarm syrup to emulsify all honey/sugar.
- [ ] Fill your bottle of choice and label it with the date. Store in your fridge for up to 6-12 months!
šUSAGE
Take 1 tbs each day when the cough and cold season starts. If you feel a cold coming on, take 2-3 tbs per day.
āļøCAUTION: children under 12 months are advised not to take honey. For young children please use other types of sugar.
